Network Marketing is basically referral marketing with a very powerful twist. Once you join you have become a distributor for their product or service. You also make money by recruiting others to be in your team. This is the great power of Network marketing.

In a company with a well designed pay plan you get rewarded on the efforts of those you introduce into the business which in turn gives you great incentive to help them be successful. this is a win win situation.

The company I am involved in, as an example, you earn a one hundred dollar fast start commission on everyone you personally sponsor. After the 3rd person I am 100% matched to everyone I have personally sponsored. So when they generate a 100.00 fast start by signing someone up, I also get a 100.00 paycheck. Can you see how powerful this is and how motivating it can be for me to help this person succeed? I am then also matched to each of the 1st 3 people that my personally sponsored people bring in, and their first three etc. to infinity! Very cool.

The important thing is knowing that the plan is not shelling out to much to be able to succeed forever. In our plan only 2 people are being paid at one time for each generated sale.We also get paid binary monthly commissions generated from the monthly auto ship sale each of my customers/reps receives.

All LEGAL Network marketing companies have an auto-ship product as well as a direct sale aspect. The good ones, like ours, have retail sales websites to also sell product direct to people who just want to be customers and include professionally done sales videos on the site. this also generates a commission for the representative.

Very few people are natural salesman but just about everyone can make a couple of personal sales and very simply point people to an online presentation and build their own sales team. This is what helps you quickly grow so that you can actually earn a walk away from your job income in 1 to 3 years if you just use a simple system that anyone can duplicate as we do.

The main thing is to find the right company. There are thousands of network marketing companies out there with new ones popping up every day  Beware of any company that does not have a real product to sell.

Choose a stable company that offer real products or services that you can believe in. Something that you would not be ashamed to promote or approach people about.

Once you have found the right company for you and signed up, spend a little time familiarizing yourself but don’t make a career out of training! Good Network Marketing Companies will have an easy to follow system that will get you into profit quickly.  Use their system. Ours is modeled from the techniques the top earners are using to build their business and it is very simple and straight forward.

You don’t want to join under someone who tells you that you have to build a website or become an internet marketing guru. That is just not something everyone can do and for those who can, the learning curve will tend to be longer and will build frustration for lack of quick results.

Can You Succeed In A Home Business?

This is a very loaded question and it fully depends on the individual reading this blog to supply the answer. First of all do you have the drive and tenacity, once you have invested in your home business, to follow through completely refusing to accept failure as an option?

Do you have the budget to get started? Besides the opportunity start up You should really have about 300.00 to 500.00 to put into launching your business.

In my primary business we use 3rd party tools, an audio CD, to introduce the business to people. The goal is to hand out 3 CD’s a day, 5 days a week and then guide those who were interested to either a Live weekly company call or webinar or even a recorded presentation online. Is that something you feel you could do? No need to be a master presenter.

Does your company have a system such as this that can be easily done by anyone or does it require the new person to be a master sales person or presenter? You want to have a system your down-line can easily duplicate. If what you do to get sign-ups is not easily duplicated you will lose the whole power of the network marketing model because people will be dropping out as fast as you bring others in.

You also want to look for a company with a product that has little to no competition and is competitive in price for their product line. Not to belittle Vitamin supplement or juice businesses as there are many fine companies out there but the market place is totally saturated with these items and the health food stores and even some grocery stores sell similar products at a much lower price.

You also need a company that has a good support system in place including already done for you tools and training and a supportive upline or team that helps each other succeed.

To Sum it up here are the things you need to succeed:

• A budget that covers start-up plus a few hundred extra.
• A system that is easily duplicated
• A Product that is competitively priced
• A product with low to no competition
• Great support and Ready to use Tools and Training

Make sure you choose a company with an auto-ship product that you would not mind having a garage full of! Many people tend to cancel their auto-ship when they realize after a few months that they have more vitamins or juice in their closet or garage than they know what to do with or are able to consume  before it expires!

The Network marketing industry is the only way I know where you can work hard for 12 to 36 months and get Filthy Rich. Can you do that in your current job? No. Can you do that in a traditional business or franchise? No.

If you are a couch potato and are in love with your TV and are looking for push button success, stick to your day or night job. It WILL take work and determination but pays off in far less time than your J.O.B.

Q: Do you work for a company that has mandatory overtime? with a Home Based Business the only overtime you put in is self imposed and because you want to do it!

Q: Do you work a night shift job? If you do you probably work the night of a Holiday such Memorial Day like I did because the company delivers their products early the next day! With a Home Based Business you can party as long as you want on holidays and get some extra sleep the day after!

Q: Do You have an alarm clock? With a Home based business you don’t ever need one!

Q: Do You have a long commute to work? Wouldn’t it be cool if your commute consisted of going from your bed to to the coffee maker and then to your laptop? In your pajamas!

Q: Does your company have a dress code? With your own home based business you can save the dress clothes for parties and entertaining. Work in your PJ’s or Buck Naked if you prefer, as long as you are not video conferencing!

Q: Has anyone at your company been laid off in the past 2 years? Does that worry you? You can only lay yourself off if you have a Home Based Business and that’s only if you give up! You are better than that!

Q: Are getting the raises you deserve? Or any raise at all? With a home based business you will dictate how much you make by how much effort you put into it.

Q: Does your company allow you to be a part owner? If they are a publicly traded company you can buy stock but can you afford to invest your hard earned money and gamble on their success?

Q: Do You like your Boss? With a home based business I’m pretty sure you would!

Q: Do your co-workers pull their own weight or do you find yourself working harder to pick up their slack? With a Home Based Business you decide who you will work with!

I think many people in Network Marketing probably displayed some type of entrepreneurial signs as children.

It started out with a lemonade stand, of course, but not satisfied, I then progressed to a full scale carnival in my tiny back yard. I was about 7 or 8 years old.

I recruited the help of 3 neighborhood buddies and we put together quite a show including carnival games for cheap plastic prizes, a daredevil show featuring me jumping Evil Kenevil style, with my 5 speed black Schwinn Bike, over a pan filled with flaming charcoal! Luckily the jump was successful and I suffered only minor 2cd degree burns. ha-ha. But the girl next door was Very impressed

We even put together a large haunted tent with blankets hung on my mother’s clothes lines and a Black Light and Strobe Light I swiped from my older hippie sister (summer of 1970).  Lucky for me my mom was a restaurant manager and worked long hours or I would have been in big trouble! I think we grossed about 15 to 20 bucks.  We split the proceeds and cleaned out the corner store’s candy shelf.

My Teenage years were just a blur of sports and raging hormones!

My entrepreneurial spirit again surfaced in my early 20′s after having been laid off from a good job as a computer room worker for an insurance company. Out of work for almost a year and getting to spend some quality time with my first son who was about one year old, I got into online gaming on the internet. Playing a game called air warrior, a very realistic online WWII flight simulation game, I decided to build a website for my squadron.

I signed up with this hosting company and discovered they had a reseller program. They ran contests monthly and awarded cash prizes for the 3 top resellers. One guy always came out on top. I connected with him and learned his tricks and before I knew it I was  the # 2 reseller and my site was ranking in the top 10 in the search engines!

Turns out the owner was as crooked as they came and regularly cheated his resellers on the commissions and his servers were always going down!  He had told us to offer a 90 day money back guarantee but he never made good when someone wanted out. So because of his crappy service and false advertising, I ended up personally giving people full refunds even though I had only made a small commission!

Enough was enough! I did my homework and leased my own servers and have run a successful and reputable hosting company of my own for the last 11 years after the 1 year of reselling. My mission was to provide honest, reliable service that people could depend on.

I also dabbled in some network marketing while running the hosting business and worked a night shift job.  I did pretty good but the network marketing company I was with changed from a network marketing platform to direct sales. I had recruited probably 30 people and brought in one guy who also built a big team under me and I was earning a nice monthly income from that but now that was all gone.

I was upset but still had a good hosting business income and a regular job. I was actually able to retire from my regular job for all of about 2 years until the hosting business got crazy competitive and the economy got worse . Big companies were super low-balling on price and making crazy offers of unlimited this and that.  I ended up losing almost half of the clients I had built up.

I could not compete with these super low prices and lies about servers that never ran out of space. To match their offers I’d have to lie to people for one thing and jam to many people onto each server in order to cover my overhead and still make a profit.  Servers tend to go down a lot when you overload them. That’s just not my style. I like to look at myself in the mirror and have a clear conscience.

I still have a very solid very loyal  client base, many of whom have been with me for 8 to 10 years or more and it is because I give them honest personal service they have come to count on.

I am again back in network marketing with an amazing company, in a great team and I am on my way up again. This time I’ll be careful not to quit my regular job to soon but it will happen and this time for good!

That 7 year old’s Carnie spirit has once again taken hold of me and now that I think about it, it has never really left!
