The principle of letting whatever happens be okay!

If you can master this you will find yourself much more at peace with your life in general and much less stressed doing the tasks to move your home business forward. The amount we suffer in life is directly proportional to how much we are resisting the fact that things are the way they are.

Where there is suffering and discomfort in our lives there is resistance.  All suffering and discomfort is the result of resistance to something. Becoming addicted to outcomes or becoming attached to things being other than what they are is a losing strategy.

When we change our needs and attachments to preferences we can then let go of our need to control the uncontrollable. Then when things do not work out the way we had wanted it to be, we will not suffer over it.

People who feel they have to live by strict rules or have-to’s  will suffer more often because no matter how hard you work to protect and enforce your rules, they will get broken at times.

Letting Whatever happens be okay does not mean that you should not be goal oriented or that you can’t work towards making your preferences a reality. The point is that when things don’t work the way you want you don’t have to suffer.

A great mentor in my primary business, Ray Higdon,  sums this up by stating that “You have to be Unmessable” when you are prospecting or working your business. You can not let single outcomes cause you suffering or it will cripple your efforts to keep moving forward and growing your business.

The key to handling challenging situations, feelings and thoughts, is not to resist them but to accept their existence as completely as you can.

The Serenity Prayer expresses this principle quite well:

“God, Give us the grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed, Courage
to change the things which should be changed,
And the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.”
