Everyone struggles in the beginning with building a good amount of traffic to your website or blog.

It’s easy to get side tracked with all the latest and greatest traffic generator promotions dumping into your inbox. In this post I list several of the things that really work for me and my team to generate quality website and blog traffic.

To begin with you need to have your own hosted website or blog. Preferably you want a blog because google just loves blogs and they especially love blogs that have new unique content that is added on a regular basis. Your business self replicated website is really never going to get the kind of traffic you want without a website or blog pointing to it.

Although I have my own Hosting business for the last 10 years, for those viewing this post I recommend Hostgator for the cheapest solution with all of the features you need. They are not as awesome as my hosting company , but I know many of you need low cost options because you are just getting started.

To keep traffic coming to your blog you need to update it regularly and this is very easy to do with a blog. After you have added a new post targeting a specific keyword phrase,  go to twitter and post a tweet about it and give a link directly to the post.  Next go to Squidoo.com and create a Lens with your article and add a Clickable Link with Your Keyword as the Anchor
Text pointing to your new blog post url. Then go to twitter and tweet your Squidoo Lens URL.

Doing this with every new post you create will dramatically increase traffic to your website. This is part of a much larger strategy my team learns and will be covered eventually on this blog in it’s own post.

Next you should have a self funding Leads Funnel system. The system should allow you to create your own videos and have a step by step process for generating sign-ups to your primary business while offering tools to people who join your list that may already have a business to help them grow their business. Over the last 5 to 10 years I have bought tens of thousands of leads to promote my businesses. Possibly even in the Millions. Some leads were OK and had a fairly good response rate. Others Leads were terrible and made my life very stressful. There is nothing worse than cold calling leads! It’s time to start generating your own leads.

Ok, so You’ve got your purchased leads, your script, hopefully memorized,  and you know your business and  are following all the points that your sponsor has told you is working for him and within the first 5 calls you have been hung up on twice, screamed at once, and twice been told that the prospect was interested but has no money to invest in starting a business.

Of course I got some of my leads to join with me usually after several follow ups but unless you are a born sales person this is an incredibly stressful way to run a business.

Companies selling leads have their capture pages everywhere and tend to catch mostly impulse subscribers and then sell these leads to multiple people in most cases. So not only are you calling someone who has probably already been hit with 3 or 4 sales calls, they are also for the most part going to turn out to be either dead broke or just tire kickers.

The best way to succeed is with your own Live Lead Generation. It’s time for you to have people calling and emailing you instead of the other way around. Attraction marketing is a much cheaper, and by far, a much less stressful way to build a following of people who are truly interested in what you are doing and will either call or email you for more information or just flat out sign up to be on your team or buy your products.

Attraction marketing is the way to go. It takes some time to get started and the right tools such as a blog, preferably Worpress, some research for your daily blogging, a good social Bookmarking system such as Onlywire. This can be added to your blog as a plugin allowing you to easily create back-links to your site from some of the largest Social networking sites on the internet.

One other Key ingredient is to have an Attraction Marketing and self-funding system like Empower Network which not only gives your team a step by step method to duplicate your success but also to turn people who may not join your business into buyers of affiliate products in the system and is a completely set up done for you blogging platform with an amazing alexa ranking. You have to give 100% effort and get on a schedule of consistently posting, tweeting, creating
new articles and making connections EVERY DAY via facebook and other social networks.
Consistent action over a sustained period will yield wonderful results generating live interested hot leads and you’ll meet some great people along the way.
