Writing Auto-responders Follow-Up Messages
When trying to make sales using an auto-responder, having good quality follow up messages is extremely important. It’s pretty much common knowledge that visitors will not buy what you have to offer during their 1st visit to your site or blog. Statistics have shown that it generally takes about 7 exposures to your site or your products before they will decide to do business with you. In the meantime you need to create some interesting, attention grabbing follow up auto-responder messages to hold their attention and entice them to purchase .
The first and most important step in creating your auto-responder follow-up messages is to craft attention grabbing headlines. An interesting or sometimes controversial headline will grab their attention and make them curious enough to read the rest of the e-mail. If you do not grab their attention with the headline the chances are not good at all that you will get them to even give a second glance at your message.
Attaching their names to the subject line can serve to grab their attention as it serves to remind them that this is something they opted into by entering their name. Most auto-responder services have a simple link to click and easily add a code that when sent attaches their first or first and last name to the email etc. When the subscriber receives the email they will see their name in place of the code you inserted .
The first auto-responder follow-up message is generally an introduction message and can include a free give-away item that you may have advertised to get them to opt into your list. many free give away items such as a free report can be crafted so they have links to affiliate products you sell. Provide them with valuable information in this first email because it will be what establishes your relationship with the subscriber and hopefully leaves them wanting more.
Your second message in the set will generally go into details as to the product or service you are providing. Be sure to go into detail about what you have to offer and let them know exactly how it will benefit them. Whenever possible show examples as to how your product or service has helped others and how, specifically it will help them should they join or buy from you.
To entice people to buy you need to show comparisons whenever possible, especially if you are in a competitive field, between you and your competitors. Show them how they will benefit by purchasing or joining under you compared with joining or purchasing from someone else. You’ll gain more credibility as you build your subscriber list and start to get signups. Word of mouth can be a huge asset to your ability to make sales or get sign-ups for your business. Try to solicit testimonials from those who have done business with you and are happy with your product or level of support and use this in future emails.
When you are crafting your auto responder follow up messages try to always leave them a bit curious as to what’s coming next . You want to have a goal of having your customers look forward to your next message. Take your time and carefully construct your auto-responder follow up messages and you will have great results from your campaigns.
